Sure, this is the kind of post that might generate controversy but let's face it, not all that glitters is green. Plenty of the celebrities jumping on the eco-bandwagon aren't first checking to see how many miles per gallon that bandwagon is getting?

Take Al Gore...please. First, it was discovered that his Tennessee mansion, "consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year." Then came news that just one week after Live Earth (at which hot dogs and burgers were sold), Gore and the guests at his daughter's wedding in Beverly Hills "dined on Chilean sea bass-arguably one of the world's most threatened fish species."

Rock star Sting-of "save the rainforest" fame-is the first to say: "I'm a musician and I have a huge carbon-footprint."

I could go on but the point is not so much to point out hypocrisy (far too many targets to do that) but rather to remind us, as Gandhi did so long ago: "action expresses priorities." Green Fakers ain't the place for me.
