Maneuver a 3-D model of our big, blue marble, and watch various weather patterns occur in near-real-time with Discovery's new Web app, Earth Live. Using visual representations of data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA), you get to observe phenomena such as tornadoes and hurricanes in action, track up-to-the-minute satellite data of the planet's water vapor, cloud cover, and surface temperatures, as well as view news footage and case studies from environmental hot spots around the globe.

Follow preloaded "stories" based around Katrina, La Nina, or a year in the life of the earth's biosphere, or remix different elements to create your own custom world view, which you can then add to your Web site or Facebook in the form of a widget. Pretty nifty, if we do say so ourselves. ::Discovery Earth Live
