Pickerelweed

Pickerelweed, a water plant native to eastern North America. It roots in the mud of shallow pools and grows in clumps about four feet (1.2 m) tall. It has long-stalked leaves and spikes of funnel-shaped blue flowers.

Pickerelweed is Pontederia cordata of the pickerelweed family, Pontederiaceae.
