Casaba, a large melon with orange flesh. It resembles a large cantaloupe (muskmelon) but the flesh does not have a musky odor. The casaba is sometimes called the winter melon because it ripens in the fall and keeps well. It was named for Kasaba, Turkey, its supposed place of origin.

The casaba melon is Cucumis melo inodorus of the family Cucurbitaceae.
