Viper's Bugloss, a group of herbs and shrubs native to the Old World. The common viper's bugloss, or blueweed, grows wild in dry fields and along roadsides in eastern North America. It grows one to three feet (30 to 90 cm) high and has large, almost bell-shaped, blue flowers on slender, lance-shaped leaves.

Viper's bugloss is Echium vulgare of the borage family, Boraginaceae.
